Elon Musk wants the US and Europe to eliminate their tariffs in the future

Tycoon Elon Musk expressed his desire on Saturday that the United States and Europe could establish a closer trade alliance with "zero tariffs" in the future, during his speech at an event of the Italian far-right League party in Florence.
"I hope that the United States and Europe can establish a very close partnership. Obviously there is already an alliance, but I am hopeful that it will be very strong," said US President Donald Trump's right-hand man by videoconference, and responsible for cutting public spending in his administration.
Regarding this pulse of trade taxes, the owner of the social network X predicted that the United States and Europe "can reach a situation of zero tariffs."
"I hope that it will be agreed that both Europe and the United States should move, ideally in my opinion, towards a zero-tariff situation, effectively creating a free trade area. That would be my hope, what I hope will happen," he said.
Musk also proposed that "more freedom" of movement be granted between Europeans and North Americans "to work" in both areas.
"Also more freedom for people to move between Europe and North America, if they wish. If they want to work in Europe or they want to work in the United States, they should be able to do so, in my opinion," he said.
And he concluded: "That has certainly been my advice to the president."
Musk's speech took place at the congress of the far-right League party, where its current leader and deputy prime minister, Matteo Salvini, will revalidate his mandate.
