Protest at Nuevo Laredo customs collapses the transport sector

At noon on Tuesday, citizens began a protest at the access to the NuevoLaredo customs office, at the International Bridge III, in Tamaulipas,collapsing the cargo truck.
This afternoon, at 4:30 p.m., the Nuevo Laredo Cargo Service Center(CenSeCar) of Nuevo Laredo reported on its social networks that thedemonstration began to disperse.
“🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE🚨Carriers, we inform you that the demonstration at International Bridge III hasbegun to disperse. The trade flow will soon resume its usual course.Thank you for your patience and understanding. We will continue to monitor thesituation."
Shortly before, at 2:55 p.m., Index Nuevo Laredo detailed that the blockadecontinued to affect north-south traffic at the Nuevo Laredo customs orWorld Trade Bridge.
"Currently, there is no traffic on the northbound bridge, however,southbound the bridge is full and traffic is now near IH-35 and Loop 20."
Local media reported damage to the cargo transport on Mex II and thehighway that goes to Piedras Negras, Coahuila.
Meanwhile, the National Customs Agency of Mexico (ANAM) reported thata negotiation process with the dissidents began early on.
The Nuevo Laredo customs office is the number one in Mexico and LatinAmerica for its cargo movement with the United States.From January to September, 4 million 80 thousand operations were carriedout in this facility, 2.5% more than a year ago, according to ANAM figures.The International Bridge III is precisely where the cargo is transported, thecommercial exchange between Mexico and the United States.
